«After having painted in the realistic and impressionist styles, I need to contribute to painting with greater inventiveness, and I also need to paint in a new style, where the painting is enriched with different textures, which give it different sensations.
In painting, you are not only inspired by the visual, the material, but also by feelings and emotions, which are a fundamental source of color. In my work, it is precisely the emotions and sensations that I feel for people, objects, moods, attitudes, which are the origin of my work. So I can see a person and they transmit a picture with shades, yellow or blue or a combination of different colors. I can think of a conflict, or an event and these in turn evoke my own textures, colors and shapes, that is why painting is enriched by all this, and brings to light its infinite potential as art.»
